10 of Swords/ Ace of Hearts:

Medium: Acrylic

The inspiration of this piece was the challenges and betrayals one might receive during their journey in life. Showcase the traditional view of family, the husband the protector, the wife the nurturer, and the child. It is a twist on the tarot’s 10 of Swords, which is a card to represent burdens and stress. The family unit depicted resembles an atomic heart. To symbolize that although each member plays an intricate role they are all a part of the same “heart”.

Queen Mona

Queen Mona is a part of a "paint chip series" where Drew used a dried paint chip as her inspiration.
